I’m watching the video and I’m thinking she is rubbing a tasty liquid of some sort all over the handle of the brush each time. The horse is continually licking his lips and every time she takes the brush from him, she wipes it off. Although it is still a feat to have him place the loaded brush to the canvas and smear.
Our father would likely loose his mind if he was clued in to this newfound reality… DON’T THINK! HORSES THINK!!!

When reading the article “Horses can think and paint”, I cannot help but disagree with the comparison of the horse to a little child. A child depending on his or her age is capable of color selection and how to arrange color selection for the painting, unlike the horse, which is given the color to use. It is an amazing thing that the horse can paint (apply smears), but the horse cannot be compared to a human being due to rational capability of choosing a color.
