I never heard of Joakim Bouaziz before this morning but I couldn't help but think of John Stezaker Cheap Reductil online legally, when I saw the above cover art for his new album.
According to this interview (which is in German) Joakim was certainly referencing Stezaker's work:

I wonder if they asked Stezaker to contribute a collage for the cover before they went ahead and copied it.

In what way did they copy it? Are collages patented?
To clarify, there is no patent on collages but Stezaker is most known for that very specific type of collage that we see here. I guess it can be more considered an homage (as Jörg says) to Stezaker and that’s fine.
